Justin and Heather Webster have opened Heff’s Burger Club in the former Mystic Ginger space in downtown Winston-Salem.
Such new establishments often turn to flyer printing to inform residents of their opening and their unique offerings.
Heff’s Burger Club specializes in smash burgers which are patties of ground beef placed on a flat-top grill and then gently smashed to increase the surface area of the meat and increase its flavor.
Heff’s Burger Club features a short menu. There are five burgers that can be ordered with one or two patties of four ounces each. Joyce Farms provides local grass-fed beef, Niki’s Pickles supplies the pickles, and Anne’s Bakery in Asheville makes the brioche buns specially for the eatery.
The menu items are based on Justin’s memories of the types of fast-food burgers he had as a child growing up and elevating them with additional options and flavors. The Ladykiller is a take on the Whopper from Burger King; the Hefty Baby is based on Heather’s favorite cookout burger; the Wendy’s Baconator is the basis for the Piggy Wiggy; and the Seoulmate takes its inspiration from Hakka Chow’s kimchi cheese fries. The menu also include crinkle cut fries, grilled cheese, and loaded piggy cheese fries.
Heff’s Burger Club also offers a Buy a Meal option, which is an opportunity to buy a hamburger and fries that are given to the Winston-Salem Rescue Mission.
