For the twelfth year in a row, the biggest book and author festival in the Carolinas is going to take place in just a few weeks’ time.
Though the festival has traditionally been a three-day event, this year it has expanded to four days. The keynote speakers for the event include Azar Nafisi, Terry McMillan, Karen Robards, Kate DiCamillo, and John Grisham. Panel discussions will be about topics like The Importance of Reading at Every Age, Journey of a Book, and Looking Beyond Book Labels.
The event has been a success in the past, with the attendance of over 15,000 festivalgoers each year who have come out and engaged in the enriching panel discussions. They have also participated in Eat & Greet events and the activities specifically designed for the young readers in the family. This year the festival will again feature bestselling authors at the Eat & Greets, and there will once again be activities for the entire family. Event organizers might benefit from the use of Banners to aid in the presentation of the daily activities and to provide direction to those in attendance.
The festival will take place from September 8 through September 11 along Spruce and Marshall streets and inside the Milton Rhodes Center for the Arts, located in downtown Winston-Salem. Guests can enjoy fun, food, and inspiration from some award-winning authors.
