TEDx is coming to Raleigh with an event called “Bridging the Divide.”
TEDx celebrates the community’s accomplishments by giving people a platform to share their ideas. These events are known to inspire new ideas and are presented by educators, researchers, innovators, artists, performers, and entrepreneurs. Poster printing is a popular service for organizers of conferences like this.
The 10 speakers scheduled to speak are:
• Dr. Anita Bangale, who will be discussing the stigma around mental health
• James A. Felts, who will be discussing how he made the transition back to civilian life after serving in the military for 21 years
• Clodagh Lyons-Bastian, talking about how psychological and biological programming are limiting people’s perception of reality
• Chief Estella Patterson, a police chief addressing how police culture has shifted in recent years
• Kiyeon Nam on the new ways to help locate missing children with the use of smart clothing
• Dr. Alvin C. Powell, who will promote his ideas of health equity within the community
• Jonathan Rivera, who has a talk about how non-fungible tokens (NFTs) and blockchain technology can be agents for social change
• Timothy Whitney, who will also be talking about blockchain technology and how crypto assets are emerging
• Dr. Adrienne Youdim, addressing how hunger is more than just a physical urge
• Dr. Kerry-Ann Zamore, who will be discussing how to connect religion and culture
The conference will be at the Sheraton Raleigh Hotel on November 13.
