Salvador Dali exhibit to arrive in Raleigh

Raleigh’s LaMantia Gallery will hold an exhibit on Salvador Dali next month. Titled “Salvador Dali: The Argillet Collection,” the exhibit will be open for 12 days.

Dali was a Spanish painter known for his contributions to the art movement of surrealism. His works arrange everyday objects in illogical arrangements. One of his most famous works is “The Persistence of Memory,” which shows melting clocks draped over a barren landscape. Events like these are usually supported with the help of brochure printing so guests can expect details on works featured at the exhibit.

The Argillet Collection contains many of Dali’s works that resulted from his collaboration with Pierre Argillet, Dali’s publisher. The paintings are owned by the Argillet estate, and guests will have the chance to view them and possibly acquire some of Dali’s artwork.

Christine Argillet, Pierre’s Argillet’s daughter, will also have special appearances at the exhibit. This opportunity will give guests a chance to meet someone with close ties to Dali’s legacy. Those interested in meeting her are encouraged to RVSP, as space is limited.

The exhibit will be held between October 6 and 17, and Argillet will make her appearances during the final two days. Entry to the exhibit is free, and RVSP for meeting Argillet can be done on Eventbrite. The LaMantia Gallery is located at 440 Daniels Street.
