The ‘Rock and Roll’ marathon and half marathon is coming to Raleigh. The scenic course will feature bands and cheering sections along the way, and will benefit 'The V Foundation for Cancer Research'.
Registration includes a T-shirt, medal, and gear bag. Runners will also be given a pacer to monitor progress and also a tag timer. There will be ‘pace teams’ for both the half and full marathon.
After the race, participants can gather with their friends and family at the ‘reunion area’ where there will be refreshments and live entertainment. The 2015 post-race concert will feature the band Smash Mouth, best known for their 1997 hit ‘Walkin’ on the Sun’.
Registrants will also get access to the two-day health and fitness expo at the nearby Raleigh Convention Center. The expo is also the race number and gear pick up site. The expo will take place on April 10 from 12:00 pm until 6:00 pm and April 11 from 9:00 am until 5:00 pm.

The marathon begins on April 12 at 7:00 am, with the start line located at West Davie Street and South Salisbury Street. Registration costs $115 for the marathon and $110 for the half marathon.
