Raleigh workshop to focus on tying flies

Fly fishing is a challenging sport enjoyed by many, and a workshop will offer an introduction to the art and science of preparing hand-tied flies.

Fishing flies act as lures for a variety of fish, and the class coming up at Great Outdoor Provision Co. in Raleigh will show how to make them. Tickets are $23.18, and while supplies will be provided, attendees are welcome to bring their own vise and other tools from home.

The class will be focused on the core fundamentals of fly tying, and it will be a relaxed experience. Participants will learn some of the basic patterns and why they work, and it will be relevant to fish in season in the local area. The session will run for one and a half hours, and there is enough room for 10 learners.

Many of those who fly fish enjoy preparing their own custom flies to help them land a trophy catch. A flyer printing company can craft leaflets and other materials that help spread the word about a local workshop or class, and these can be sent by mail, tucked into a customer’s shopping bag at the checkout, and distributed in many other ways.

This introduction to the skill of fly tying is set for Wednesday, July 24. Everyone who Signs up is asked to arrive no later than 6:30 pm.
