Raleigh sets date for Santa trolley tours

Historic Raleigh offers plenty of treats for the history buff, and Santa himself decided to stop by and check them out in person. Unfortunately, he's become lost in the neighborhood, and he's counting on local children to find him.

The city will soon welcome the Big Guy in Red and Holly, his assistant elf, will also be on hand. There are three dates on the agenda, and the group will be traveling by trolley.

The families that participate will board the rail car at Mordecai Historic Park, and passes must be reserved in advance. The tickets are $15.00 each. To add even more fun to the day, this year, ticket holders are welcome to either remain on site after their ride, or arrive half an hour early, so they can try their hand at preparing s'mores using the supplies provided.

To ensure as many families as possible can enjoy the experience, each day will have three different start times to choose from. Small promotional products are often handed out during a family friendly event, and these may be custom prepared by local print shops.

The Santa's Trolley tour, which will search for Santa in some of the city's most historic areas, is scheduled for December 13, 14 and 15. It is on offer thanks to the Raleigh Parks and Recreation Department.
