Raleigh is set to host its 29th annual Triangle Walk next week. The event will give locals a chance to help fundraise for dementia research.
During the afternoon, Raleigh residents can stop by Fred Fletcher Park to walk with others to support people facing dementia. Participants will walk a designated path and are encouraged to take photos of the walk. Participants can then share these photos on social media with the hashtag #DANCCARES.
While the walk is underway, other activities will also take place. Organizers are preparing a raffle where participants have the chance to win Promotional Products and other gifts. There will also be food and music at the event. Once the walk is finished, all participants can join the ending ceremony to celebrate the evening.
Anyone interested in joining the Triangle Walk can register online before the day of the event. Once registered, entrants can start collecting donations from family and friends. This year’s fundraising goal is $75,000, which will go towards resources and research initiatives to help those with dementia.
The walk will take place on September 26th between 2:00 PM and 5:00 PM. Participants can continue fundraising any time before the event. Registration is free, but participants can purchase an additional event t-shirt for $20. Participants can find the Fred Fletcher Park at 820 Clay Street.
