Raleigh foodies have another reason to celebrate

Rise, a popular biscuit and donut shop, is getting ready to open a new location in Raleigh.

The store will soon open in Cameron Village, located on Cameron Street in Raleigh. David Dowdy, who owns this location of the chain, says the store will open a 7:00 am.

This past weekend, Rise opened a store in north Raleigh, at Sutton Square. There is another shop in Morrisville, and a location is planned for Carrboro. The first Rise ever opened is located near Southpoint Mall in Durham.

Rise has a stripped-down menu serving only biscuits and donuts, along with milk, juice, and coffee, from 7:00 am to 2:00 pm daily. However, its biscuits are assorted, and feature unusual and interesting flavors. Biscuits feature fillings such as bacon, country ham, fried chicken, and sausage, as well as eggs, spreads, and cheeses. Donuts also feature a wide assortment of flavors.

Everything at each Rise location is made fresh daily, and the Menus change often. In addition, the locations sometimes sell out, so customers are advised to come early.

The new Cameron Village store is set to open at 7:00 am on December 5. The management could work with a flyer printing company on a handout for distribution near the location on the opening day, and for several days afterwards. If they include a coupon, more visitors may stop in.
