Raleigh City Farm sets date for farmstand opening
Raleigh City Farm supplies the community with fruits and veggies as well as a chance to get their hands in the soil, and it recently announced the opening date for its pay what you can farmstand.
Starting in mid-April, the stand will be set up at 800 North Blount Street, and it will be open on Wednesdays. Those who would like to take advantage of the offer can enter the venue through the Franklin Street entrance, and purchases may be paid for at the farm stage.
The shoppers that stop by can choose their fruits and vegetables from those on display, and there will be volunteers on hand to help bag their purchases. As one of the goals of the farm is to help connect as many as possible with healthy food, the public is asked to pay what they can. Any extra amount will be used to help support the farm and its work.
Grassroots level community events can often make a big impact. A poster printing company can help ensure as many as possible know about an activity, and a lot of the options it offers may be budget friendly.
The pay what you Can farmstand will be open on Wednesdays starting on April 16th. The food will be distributed from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm, and its website provides a list of the produce that may be available.
