Niall Hanley, who owns the Raleigh Beer Garden as well as the Hibernian, is planning a huge project for downtown Raleigh.
Earlier this month, Hanley signed a long-term lease for property on West Morgan Street in Raleigh’s downtown. The lease is for the previous Jillian's nightclub, which comprises 15,000 square feet.
Over the next year, Hanley plans to turn the space into an enclosed food court, which he plans to surround with approximately 12 separate kitchens that will be shared by local vendors and artisans. He would like to open the new venture in 2017.
Hanley says the enterprise will be like a mall food court, but it is more than that—he calls it a “food hall”. Each business will have a kitchen of its own, and a separate small storefront. Visitors can choose their meals and then sit in a communal area to enjoy their food. Hanley would like to have shops for coffee, wine, cheese, beer, and similar items under one roof, as well as kiosks artisans can use.
Hanley hopes that the venture will prove to be an incubator for some of the small businesspeople, who will then move on and set up their own retail stores.
Hanley might consider creating Brochures to advertise the spaces he has available, and make the Booklets available to local commercial realtors and small businesses.Get a Free Quote for Booklets Get a Free Quote for Brochures
