Next month, Raleigh will host GalaxyCon, a convention for a wide assortment of interests, including superheroes, science fiction, anime, video games, and cartoons.
GalaxyCon will run for four days and will include different activities and sights. Attendees can stop by for viewings of films, anime, and shorts or pick up a controller for some video gaming. Organizers have also prepared an exhibition hall and a cosplay contest for viewing.
The event will also feature panels and Q&As with famous creators and actors. Guests can expect to meet and interact with the creative casts of works like Star Trek and Beauty and the Beast. Some panels and Q&As will be conducted virtually, but there will still be signed memorabilia produced with the help of Print shops. Attendees can also send in materials they wanted to be signed before the convention.
The convention is meant to be a family-friendly affair, so children are welcome to attend with their families. Anyone under the age of four can even enter for free.
GalaxyCon will happen from July 29th to August 1st. It will take place at the Raleigh Convention Center on 500 South Salisbury Street. Event hours and ticket prices will vary depending on the day.
