Pineville to host advanced costuming workshop

This summer, Pineville will be presenting a six-day workshop that will teach how to craft costumes.

TuTu Schools will be making a stop at the Comfort Inn in Pineville, and those who participate in the seminar will learn the steps to follow to create dresses, costumes and other clothing for a performance. Headpieces will be included on this day intended for serious sewers and crafters.

The activity will walk the registrants through the steps of creating their individual project, and the teaching will be hands on. The goal is to produce professional-quality costumes. Once an individual has registered to participate, they will be able to order a course kit that will be filled with all of the fabric, notions, and other items they may need for the class.

Professionals may appreciate an opportunity to hone their current skills and learn new ones, and a workshop will help them to do so. Learning materials such as manuals, handouts, and promotional Pens can be provided by area printers, which can also craft certificates of completion to give to each student.

This chance for advanced sewers to add some new skills to their tool kit will be on offer from July 20 to 25 at 425 Towne Centre Drive. It is open to anyone from the local community, as well as Charlotte and the surrounding area.
