Pineville set to enjoy virtual winter garden tour

In warmer seasons, a garden is usually full of activity, but a Pineville area property will show how it can be a dynamic and ever-changing place, even during the winter months.

A guided tour of the beds at Elizabeth Lawrence House and Garden will show how, even in the cold, gardens will still offer lots to explore. Since it will be an online experience, ticket holders will be able to enjoy their lunch during the tour, and registration starts at $15.

The virtual visit, which will be led by Andrea Sprott, will include plants Elizabeth Lawrence mentions in her book “Gardens in Winter”. A question-and-answer session is on the agenda, offering an opportunity to learn about plant selection and care. It will run for one hour, and registrations for the activity are now being accepted.

Hosting this type of workshop offers a way for an organization to educate and entertain the public. Including it in local community guides and other publications will ensure as many as possible know when and where it will be taking place, and these can be produced by an area printing services company.

The Gardens in Winter instalment of the “Nosh and Knowledge” series has been scheduled for January 26, 2021. It will begin at 12:00 pm, and the Wing Haven Garden website includes links for anyone who would like to reserve their seat.
