Kids and parents or guardians will be putting their woodman’s skills to the test when they attend a family-friendly building event in the wooded area at the McDowell Nature Center. While admission is free, the registration process must be completed in advance. Both children and parents alike are asked to register individually.

They will utilize materials such as boughs and other items to create theirs, and the goal is to prepare one that could protect them from the weather. Attendees will hike off the trail to the construction area.
