Members of the public from Pineville have been offered a chance to work with an assortment of foliage and other materials to create a decorative urn planter in a workshop that has been arranged for this spring.
The class will be working with seasonal materials, many of which will be sourced from the local area. They will also be led on a foraging expedition to find materials for the floral arrangement.
Each of the participants in the workshop is asked to bring along a 12-inch diameter container to house their creation, but they also noted that any size urn will work if needed. While they are preparing their creation, they can enjoy a glass of wine or champagne and chat with the other attendees.
The venue, Duke Mansion, attracts many visitors each year, and its grounds are kept looking great through the efforts of its resident horticulturist.
