Local food banks will be the beneficiaries of an event that will help Pineville residents ensure their documents have been disposed of safely and securely.
A free Shred It day will be held this February, and everyone who plans on taking advantage of the offer has been asked to make a generous donation of non-perishable food and other items. These will be gathered and passed along to area pantries for distribution to those in need.
Shred 360 will have a mobile shredder on site at the Bojangles Entertainment Complex in Charlotte, and it will be up and running for two hours. Everyone can drop off up to three copy paper box or kitchen trash bag size containers of materials for disposal, and staples, binders, paperclips, and rubber bands do not need to be removed beforehand. CDs and DVDs may also be accepted for shredding. Questions about the activity may be directed to 888-874-3839.
