Carolinas College of Health Sciences has seats available for its January phlebotomy training program, and registration is now on offer to participate in this Pineville area course.
The class, which has a commencement date set for the end of August, will include 200 hours of instruction and training. It will offer a faced paced learning environment and will be 14 weeks long.
The instruction will be split between classroom and virtual learning, and the first half of the program will be dedicated to the practice of both skin puncture and venipuncture. There will be lectures that discuss physiology and anatomy as well as medical terminology, infection control, and safety. In the second half of the course, the learners will get some hands-on experience in clinical rotations.
When the learning is complete, the students will take their exams, and the organizers noted that the program has received approval from the National Accrediting Agency for Clinical Laboratory Sciences. Attending a pre-course information session is mandatory, and these will be offered in August, September and October. A brochure printing company can provide brochure and other materials that can help those who attend one of these sessions decide if a career in phlebotomy is right for them.
Registration is now being accepted for information sessions for the January start date of the Phlebotomy Program. They will be taking place on August 22nd, September 25th, October 2nd and October 28th. The venue for these can be found at 1200 Blythe Boulevard in Charlotte.
