This August, SportsLink Sports and Social will host a Summer Tubing Adventure, offering a refreshing float along the Catawba River.
The tubing experience will last approximately three to four hours, beginning at the Lake Wylie Dam Entry Point and concluding at Riverwalk Rock Hill. Following the float, participants can relax and socialize at Riverwalk before shuttling back to their starting point.
Essential items to bring include a tube or water float, beverages, sunscreen, lifejackets, and water-safe shoes. Lifejackets are recommended due to varying river depths, but will not be supplied by the event organizers. For those who are members of SportsLink, tubes can be reserved with a refundable deposit, provided they are given back after the experience.
For transportation, participants familiar with the shuttle service are advised to consider using it with a companion and park two vehicles at both the starting and ending points of the route. Others may coordinate carpools by notifying the organizers in advance.
For details on the cost to attend, individuals can visit the Eventbrite listing. Individuals from the neighboring city of Pineville want to be in attendance. Poster printing can be helpful in advertising events such as this one.
The event will take place on Saturday, August 17, beginning at 12:30 pm. The starting location will be at 2541 New Gray Rock Road, Fort Mill. Participants are encouraged to gather at the access point between 12:00 and 12:30 pm to prepare for the float.
