Children with special needs will be able to enroll in customized classes at the gymnastics facility Carolina Flipz in Pineville during this month.
According to the owner of and coach at the facility, Angela Davis, Carolina Flipz has been offering such classes on a trial basis since June, but there has been enough interest in them to offer ones that are tailor-made. A free, introductory class will be offered to all special needs students to see if they are a good fit.
Davis’ mother was the inspiration for these classes. She was a special needs teacher and Davis would attend her mother’s classes to work with the children. She has a great deal of passion to help children who learn differently from others and wanted to make Carolina Flipz an environment at which they can feel welcome. Davis herself has 18 years of experience in gymnastics, cheer, dance, and tumbling.
Davis commented that she feels it is important for the team kids to interact with the special needs students. More positive attitudes result when children are exposed to those with disabilities, whether directly or indirectly, she adds.
South Charlotte Macaroni Kid voted the facility ‘Best Girls Gymnastics Facility’ in the Charlotte area for 2015. Davis may turn to a local Print company to print Flyers and mailers that can be sent to people in the community, informing them of these classes for special needs children.Get a Free Quote for Flyers Get a Free Quote for Print
