Fort Mill to be new headquarters for engineering powerhouse

Fort Mill, just a few miles from Pineville in South Carolina, will be the new headquarters and home for the engineering operations of UC Synergetic. The company is no doubt turning to flyer printing to let those in the area become aware of the relocation, which will bring 130 new jobs to the area.

The company has said that it made a commitment to stay in Fort Mill for 10 years. As an incentive for the move, UC Synergetic received grants for job development that will refund part of the withheld taxes of employees to the company, provided that specific targets can be met. According to the South Carolina Department of Commerce, the actual dollar value of these incentives cannot be determined ahead of time.

According to the president of UC Synergetic, John Thompson, the company is looking forward to joining the entrepreneurs and business owners in the Fort Mill community. The move will help growth in both the local area and in the national economy as well.

UC Synergetic is a company with 36 offices across the country and 1,200 employees, and it provides engineering and technical and consulting services. Created from a merger of Utility Consultants, Inc. and Synergetic Design Inc., the company provides integrated solutions for delivery of energy in the Smart Grid.
