Fishing offers a way to relax and enjoy the peace of nature, and those who are new to the sport as well as anyone who has always wanted to give it a try, may want to attend an introductory workshop.
Offered by the North Carolina Wildlife Resources Commission, this short course will be free and is to be held in Fayetteville, providing an introduction to the art and science of fishing. It will introduce the equipment used, as well as an assortment of techniques, and it will be hosted at the John E. Pechmann Fishing Education Center.
During the session, the group will discuss an assortment of topics, and the skills taught can be used when fishing in ponds, lakes, rivers and even the ocean. It will include a review of tackle, rods and other equipment, and licenses will be on the agenda. Casting demos will take place, and the instruction is scheduled to run throughout the day.
Organizing this type of activity often involves ordering manuals and other learning materials. These may be sourced from local Print shops, which will be able to perform this service, as well as a full line of other print jobs.
The date for this introduction to fishing is June 26, and it will start at 9:00 am. The day will wrap up at 3:00 pm, and the registration system for the day is set to be open from May 12 to 25.
