Fayetteville workshop to address getting not for profit groups off the ground

Fayetteville’s not-for-profits fill an important role in their community. A workshop that will help those who are considering starting one of these organizations to hit the ground running will be offered this August, and there no fee to be included in the event.

The FTCC Small Business Center will be bringing the ‘So You Want to Start a Nonprofit’ seminar to the area, and facilitation for the function will be provided by Cheryl Campbell. Campbell has an extensive background in the charitable sector, and she will be sharing her experience and best practices with the group.

The agenda for the occasion is filled with information that can be useful to those who are getting a not-for-profit group off the ground. Some of the topics include who owns a charity, and what sort of a financial stake is needed to start one. Grants will also be discussed, and the attendees will find out if this could be a potential revenue stream for their nonprofit.

This event is being offered free of charge, and it will be taking place at 2817 Fort Bragg Road. Not-for-profit planning guides, promotional Pens, and other swag for this sort of learning opportunity can be crafted by a Print shop.

August 13 will see this seminar being held in room 114 of the FTCC General Classroom Building, beginning at 6:00 pm. RSVPs are now being accepted for the event.
