What's Happening in Fayetteville, NC…

Fayetteville festivities to highlight water and power conservation

Saving water and electricity can be kind to both the environment and the pocketbook, and late March will see Fayetteville’s downtown host an event that can help point the way.

The Power and Water Conservation Expo will be free to everyone interested, and it may be a fun way to introduce kids to ways they can live a more sustainable lifestyle. It is scheduled for one day only, and this will be its 11th year.

The expo will equip those who take part with knowledge of how they can save both power and water, and special goodies such as energy saving lightbulbs will be distributed for as long as supplies last. There will be information shared about drinking water quality and how the public can play a role in keeping it clean. Job opportunities in the field will be presented, and a prize draw and other activities have been planned.

A public utility expo, open house, or other event can give a community a sneak peek into its infrastructure that keeps it running along. A poster printing company can prepare materials that help to build local interest, as well as promotional products including stickers, fridge magnets, and other swag.

The Annual Fayetteville Power, Water and Conservation Expo will welcome one and all on Friday, March 28. It will be held at Skyview at 121 Hay Street and runs from 10:00 am to 8:00 pm.
