A review of violent crime statistics from U.S. cities with population of 100,000 or more showed Cary to one of the safest cities in which to live.
USA Today recently revealed the news that violent crime numbers fell by 4.4% in 2013. Moreover, this drop was by no means isolated, since violent crime has gone down by 15% in the last decade.
While the overall violent crime rate has fallen, the rates per 100,000 residents vary greatly from city to city. On average, 368 violent crimes occurred for every 100,000 people in the U.S., but it was significantly lower in some cities and higher in others.
The rate of violent crime is below 100 per 100,000 people, which puts it among the country’s 10 safest cities. On the list, which was based on violent crime date compiled in the FBI’s 2013 Uniform Crime Report, the top three were Naperville, Illinois; Irvine, California; and Cary.
Being named as one of the safest cities in the country is the type of information that city’s like to brag about. Print companies will no doubt be asked to include it in various business and civic literature, as well as Stationery printing items such as Letterheads.
Statistics also showed that the safest cities had the highest average education levels and higher than average income levels. Get a Free Quote for Letterheads Get a Free Quote for Stationery Get a Free Quote for Print
