Holiday festivities visiting Cary

Several holiday and other events will be taking place in Cary in December.

The annual Christmas Parade of the Cary Jaycees will be held later this month for the 46th consecutive year.

The parade will feature mascots, bands, groups from the community, local businesses, and churches. The parade will run from E. Chatham Street at Ward Street, travel to S. Academy Street and end in front of the Cart Arts Center on Dry Avenue. Jack Snith is the Grand Marshal for the parade, which will be live streamed by WRAL. It will be from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm on Saturday December 13.

Flyer printing is often used to promote such activities and events throughout a city.

Cary will also be celebrating the Festival of Lights in Cary Park for the lighting of the Menorah on the third night of Hanukkah. The evening will include cheerful holiday songs, activities for kids, a special sweet surprise, and the lighting of the menorah. This will be from 5:30 pm to 6:30 pm on Tuesday, December 16. The menorah at Cary Arts Center will be lit every evening during the length of the holiday.

The Cary Theater is also hosting a collection of film favorites of the holidays. “The Nutcracker at Wethersfield” will be shown on Sunday, December 7, and Wednesday, December 10. “Dr. Seuss’ The Grinch” will be shown on Saturday, December 6.
