What's Happening in Cary, NC…

Unique movie theater opens in Cary

Paragon Theaters will be opening in the Fenton development in Cary early this month. This will be its second location in Cary and will have one of the largest movie screens in North Carolina.

Local print shops can contribute to publicizing the opening of such special attractions in town.

The Axis 15 Extreme theater feature will be introduced, and will have a screen measuring 66 feet wide. There will be Dolby Atmos sound technology and 4K laser projection, with a seating capacity of 200 people.

Seating will be pod-style, like on first-class flight suites, with single seats or loveseats that will recline electronically. There will be privacy wings and retractable tables for each guest at a loveseat. Moviegoers will be able to dine at the indoor/outdoor bar at the theater, or order food directly from their seats. There will be a water feature and a fire pit at the bar in addition to a movie screen measuring 15 feet wide that can be used for presentations of sporting events and outdoor movies.

CEO of Paragon Theaters, Mike Whalen, said that the focus of the theater was on an exceptional food and beverage line-up and cutting-edge design which aligns with the Paragon brand. Whalen added that the goal was to offer new amenities to meet the expectations of its guests and create a unique entertainment experience for everyone.
