Unique grocery store opens in Cary
A grocer based in the Carolinas, Lowes Foods, now has a new store in Cary on Mills Park Drive.
Tim Lowe, president of Lowe’s Foods, said that the new store will features items from the local area. He added that his stores have partnerships with over 200 farmers in North and South Carolina, which enables his stores to offer many unique local products. Such products are often highlighted in weekly flyers created by local print shops.
Among the specialty items to be offered in the grocery store will be Boxcar Coffee, where beans are custom roasted in the store with guests being able to enjoy a hand-crafted coffee while they shop. There is also a smokehouse which rotates on a daily basis a variety of wood-smoked items, such as salmon, chicken, pork, and beef.
The Bread Crumb features fresh-baked, hand-crafted artisanal breads that are all natural using fresh ingredients. The Cobblestone breads that are a signature item at Lowes are baked throughout the day. Guests can also watch the assembly and icing of cakes at The Cakery. Cakes can be made in many different sizes and are made with real butter and cream and fresh in the store.
This store in Cary will also have a section where guests can pick their own herbs when they need just a small amount for a recipe.
