Progress continues on major Cary development
Work on the Fenton development in Cary is currently underway. The project is near Interstate 40 along Cary Town Boulevard.
Sports & Social, a national upscale sports and entertainment concept, will be an anchor attraction at the mixed-use development, which will span 69 acres. Hines and Columbia Development, the developers of the project, said that Sports & Social will be two stories high and will include a social lounge and gaming parlor. The company added that because of its proximity to Carter Finley Stadium and PNC Arena, it should attract a great deal of foot traffic.
This is part of the first phase of the development which will have restaurants, shops, and entertainment spaces covering 345,000 square feet, office space covering 200,000 square feet, a luxury apartment community with 357 units, and a boutique hotel with 175 rooms. Tenants expected to join the development include Crawford Brothers Steakhouse, Williams Sonoma, Paragon Theaters, and Pottery Barn. Paul Zarian, director of Hines, said the project is looking for a large grocery store tenant as well as office tenants.
This project is among the largest in Cary and one of the many projects currently under construction in that part of town. Such projects often turn to banner printing to inform the community of their development and the upcoming shops and amenities.
Phase One is expected to open next April.
