New residential community opens in Cary

The grand opening of a new community, Brickyard in Cary, was recently announced by Meritage Homes.

The name of the community and the concept pay tribute to the history of North Carolina as the former brick capital of the country. The name was designed to honor the bricklayers who laid the foundation for the success of the state.

The homes in Brickyard have many of the features that would be found in more expensive homes, but are aimed towards those looking for a more affordable option. There are energy-efficient appliances, laundry rooms, and large kitchens with islands and granite countertops. The community itself is close to shopping, restaurants, entertainment, and recreational activities.

There is a mix of single-family homes and townhomes among the 401 new units. There are options for three or four bedrooms and 12 different floor plans. Sizes of the homes range from 1,700 to 2,800 square feet and would appeal to first-time homeowners, as well as those who are looking to downsize. Print shops can be used to print more information about such units, including detailed floor plans and other features.

There are other amenities in the community, including a playground, a swimming pool with cabanas, scenic walking trails, and a dog park. The community is located in the Wake County school district so that it would attract those with families as well.
