New mixed-use development to come to Cary
Heritage Capital Partners, based in Raleigh, has purchased land in west Cary to transform the area into a new place to live, work, and play. Heritage paid $500 million for the property.
This property is along Highway 55 and will become the Alston Yards project. Ryan Blair, managing partner, said that this is more than just a place that is highly desirable for living, but could offer some retail options that are not currently available in the area.
The project will include a hotel, a town park, and hundreds of apartments. It will also be close to the proposed campus in Research Triangle Park for Apple, which brings economic opportunities to the area, including people patronizing shops and restaurants after work.

Blair added that this property will enable his company to expand the Greenway system and fill in gaps in neighborhoods that are close by, so people can walk to the planned retail establishments and the development in general.
