Several celebrations for Halloween will be coming to the Cary area this month.
A Mummy and Son Ball will be held at the Ritter Shelter for those children between the ages of 5 and 10 accompanied by a parent or guardian. Mummies and their sons should dress in their favorite costumes and will be able to compete for prizes. This will take place from 6:30 to 8:00 pm on Thursday, October 27.
Zombiepalooza, which is a screening party with a zombie theme, will be at the Cary Theater. It will feature short films that have been produced locally. Hobbyists and filmmakers in the area are invited to create films of between one and five minutes with their zombie stories. This is open to people ranging in age from teenagers to older adults using smartphones and any type of camera. This will be at 7:00 pm on Friday, October 28.
A Pumpkin Flotilla will be held at the Bond Park Boathouse. Pumpkins will be sailing across the lake at the park beginning at twilight. Those who dress in appropriate costumes for Halloween or enter a pumpkin can enjoy a discounted boat ride and a snack from the concession stand while watching the pumpkins float on the lake. This will take place from 4:00 to 7:00 pm on Friday, October 28.
Such special celebrations can be advertised throughout a community with poster printing.
