Across the street from WakeMed Cary Hospital, an open house was held on Saturday, October 4 at the newly opened Baby+Company to acquaint interested parties with an alternative to hospital-based birth.
Baby+Company is a boutique maternity center and will work under the supervision of Triangle Physicians for Women. Customized care plans will be provided by nurse midwives who will deliver babies on the premises. New moms can then take advantage of the center’s newborn care services.
New enterprises such as this one have multiple Stationery printing needs, including brochure printing to help explain the services offered and information new mothers will need to know.
The center will provide a luxurious, hotel-like setting for mothers who will be given the choice of a deep tub or large bed for labor and delivery in the birthing suites. Moreover, a full-service kitchen and living space for family members provides a ‘home away from home’ atmosphere.
According to the statistics taken from the National Birth Center Study, about 84% of women who go to a birthing center deliver their babies there. However, if complications arise, the WakeMed Cary is right across the street and mothers can continue working with their midwife if transferred.
Expectant mothers less than 28 weeks pregnant, and without medical conditions that would require a hospital birth, are now being accepted at Baby+Company. The center will be able to serve around 350 to 400 mothers a year and accepts all major insurance plans.
