Missoula course to teach manual therapy

Mobilization With Movement™ will offer a two-day training course at Northern Rockies Orthopaedics in Missoula.

The Mulligan Concept™ Lower Quadrant Course is a lesson where medical professionals can learn useful techniques for restoring function and reducing pain for patients with musculoskeletal disorders. Many body parts will be covered throughout the lessons, such as knees, hips, and toes. The program teaches students weight-bearing techniques, taping techniques, and manual skills. The course aims to improve clinical outcomes and help medical professionals understand how to select effective techniques for their patients.

The instructor for the program is Eric M. Dinkins, a professional who has been practicing since 2001. He went to school at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center and has been certified through the American Physical Therapy Association. Dinkins has worked with medical staff from the Steadman-Hawkins Clinic and was featured as a keynote speaker at the International Mulligan Conference. He has also worked on treatments for Restless Legs Syndrome.

The course will be held on January 20th, from 8:00am to 4:30pm and on January 21st from 7:30am to 3:30pm. The cost to take part in the training program is $599 per person. Participants are asked to purchase a mobilization belt and contact pad for the event. Organizations in charge of educational medical workshops like this can use brochure printing to design custom resources for their students.
