St. Louis to organize BBQ festival

The Q in the Lou BBQ Festival will return to the Gateway Arch National Park in St. Louis.

The Q in the Lou BBQ Festival is an event where local pitmasters and grillers from throughout the U.S. can compete and showcase their BBQ skills. The fest will feature several restaurants, including the Memphis Barbecue Company, Blues Hog Barbecue, and Beast Craft BBQ. Many dishes can be found at the festival, like St. Louis-style ribs, sliced turkey, and baked beans. People can also watch demonstrations by professional pitmasters.

The BBQ fest will include the Rib Rumble, which is an event where people compete to see who can eat the most meat. Participants will be given five minutes to eat the ribs. The competition will take place on the Weber Demo Stage. The winner of the Rib Rumble will receive a Weber Kettle Grill, free entry to compete in next year’s eating competition, and two VIP Pit Passes to 2025’s Q in the Lou Festival.

The BBQ festival will be on Saturday, September 7th and Sunday, September 8th. General admission to the BBQ fest is free for all attendees. VIP passes for the event will cost $99 per person and will include BBQ samples and access to a private lounge. St. Louis businesses can pay between $850 to $1,850 for a booth space.
