Runners, walkers, and families will gather at Grant Trail in St. Louis for the Heatwave race event, a community-focused fitness program featuring several race distances, youth activities, and virtual participation options.
The schedule includes a Kids Dash, one-mile event, 5K, 10K, half marathon, half-marathon relay, volunteer-run option, and a virtual race category. Participants will receive a race package that includes a specially designed event shirt, a custom finisher medal, a race bib, and professional chip timing for eligible distances.
Complimentary race photographs and free Kona Ice will be available following completion of the course. Competitive divisions in the 5K, 10K, and half marathon will recognize overall female and male finishers, masters competitors aged 40 and older, and top performers across numerous age categories.
Virtual entrants may complete their chosen distance at a location and time of their choosing. Their registration includes shipping of race materials, a commemorative medal, event Apparel, and a digital bib.
As with many organized athletic events, organizers often rely on printing services to produce race bracelets, participant route maps, and race route signage.
Registration prices range from $17 to $68, depending on the selected race category. The Summer Bundle offers a 25% reduced rate per event for eligible registrations.
