St. Louis to host empowering yoga event

The Integrate Network will hold a yoga activity at the Thomas Dunn Learning Center in St. Louis this March.

Yoga, Ethics, and Mental Health is a program that teaches people about how practicing yoga can help them make better decisions in their professional and personal lives. The facilitators of the event will include Julie Johnson, Anu French, Gladys Smith, and Candice Cox. There will be panels held at the program on using yoga ethics to empower communities and how to incorporate trauma-informed yoga in clinical and community practices. Guests can also network with other attendees.

The Integrate Network is a platform for human care providers and business professionals that helps people improve their skills in low-stakes environments. The organization has more than 15,000 members and has hosted several workshops for trauma-enforced healing arts. The network also created the Safe Spaces List, which is a collection of United States locations that are deemed to be trauma informed. The group also created the Social Emotional Inclusion Program in 2015.

The yoga and mental health seminar will take place on Saturday, March 23 from 10:00am to 2:00pm. Tickets to the event will cost $30 for professionals and $20 for students. Sales for the program will close to the public on March 10th for students. Networks that organize empowering activities such as this may use flyer printing to promote their programs.
