St. Louis to host conference for Latino medical students

The Latino Medical Student Association (LMSA) will organize an event at the St. Louis University School of Medicine in February.

The 35th Annual Midwest Regional LMSA Conference is a multi-day event where medical and pre-medical students can attend discussions, participate in research symposiums, and share their findings with their peers. The conference will bring in students from several states, including Missouri, South Dakota, and Kansas. There will be poster and oral presentation sessions that give student researchers opportunities to share their research in peer-reviewed journals.

Attendees can also meet with medical companies and organizations at the exhibitor fair. Businesses that wish to attend the exhibitor fair can purchase packages that cost between $500 and $5,000. The exhibitor packages come with perks such as the ability to hold a workshop at the convention, inclusion in the conference’s correspondence, and being featured in the event program. There are also sponsorships available that range from $750 to $2,000.

The conference for medical students will be held from February 14 to 16. Tickets to the event will cost $80 for physicians and $65 for medical students. High schoolers who wish to attend the convention can pay $20 for their tickets. There will even be a gala that people can pay $50 to attend. Vendors at similar conferences may bring their own business cards to the events to share with consumers.
