St. Louis to be latest home for expanding restaurant chain

If things go as planned, St. Louis residents will soon have 16 new places to satisfy their sweet tooth, or enjoy a cup of coffee and a light meal.

Dunkin’ Donuts recently announced that it has signed an agreement with Berliner Ill LLC to open 14 new locations in St. Louis, and an additional pair in Kansas City.

The plan is for the restaurants to open within the next eight years. The people behind the expansion are University of Nebraska and Former NFL players Zach Wiegert and Kris Brown. These two individuals have partnered with David Scott to increase the company’s presence in Berliner’s third market. So far, the partnership has opened locations in Omaha, Council Bluffs, and North Kansas City.

According to Grant Benson, who is Dunkin’ Brands’ Vice President of Global Franchising and Business Development, the company is thrilled to be expanding its presence in St. Louis, and knows that there is a lot of demand for the products it serves. A company that produces custom Drinkware would be able to provide the eatery with Mugs and other items that have been printed with its logo or anything other information.

At present, the chain has 13 locations in the city and the surrounding area, and the new franchises will bring the total up to 27.
