St. Louis history museum to host concert series

The Missouri History Museum in St. Louis will hold a concert series throughout May at its newly renovated North Plaza.

The Twilight Thursdays Concert Series is an event where people can relax outdoors and watch live shows from talented local performers. Each day of the series will have a theme, including The Chaka Khan Anthology, War: The Music Band Compilation, and the Teena Marie Catalog. Several food trucks will also attend the shows, such as Enoch’s Funnel Cake Express, The Crooked Boot, and Duchess Rose Royal Street Food. The museum galleries will be open later for the series.

The concerts are organized by The Missouri Historical Society, which is an organization that was formed in 1866 to preserve the region’s history during the aftermath of the Civil War. The idea for the group was started by Elihu Shepard, a local educator. James H. Lucas was the first president of the historical society. The group was added to the Metropolitan Zoological Park and Museum District in 1987 and later opened its Library & Research Center in 1991. Museums that host similar outdoor gatherings can utilize banner printing services to promote their shows.

The concert series will be held from May 2nd to May 23rd. The performances will last from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Guests do not need to register for the outdoor shows, and parking is free at the venue. Attendees may bring lawn chairs, baskets, and blankets to the concerts.
