The Missouri Botanical Garden in St. Louis will be teaching a class in December about photography.
Capturing the Garden Glow is a course where aspiring photographers can learn shooting techniques while taking pictures of beautiful scenery. The class is led by a professional who will share tips and tricks. There will also be a second lesson where students will learn special techniques such as using blur, motion, and reflections to improve their shots. Both courses welcome beginners and can be joined by the public.
The Missouri Botanical Garden was formed in 1859 and is a National Historic Landmark. The garden is used for botanical research and offers visitors 79 acres of horticultural displays. The attraction also owns the Sophia M. Sachs Butterfly House and Shaw Nature Reserve. A few of the informational programs hosted by the garden include painting courses, nature walks, and flower arrangement lessons. Groups who offer educational activities similar to these may promote their classes with poster printing.
The first photography lesson will take place on Wednesday, December 1, and the second course will be held on Tuesday, December 7. Each class will last from 4:45 pm to 7:15 pm and will cost $65 for members of the garden. Non-members can sign up for the lesson for $78. All guests are encouraged to bring a tripod to the program.
