St. Louis botanical garden to hold birdwatching activity

The Missouri Botanical Garden in St. Louis will be organizing a children’s birdwatching activity in January.

The Winter Bird Walk is a program where kids will learn about avian creatures while observing their behavior. The course is part of the Missouri Botanical Garden’s Great Green Adventures series. Participants will meet by the Doris I. Schnuck Children’s Garden Ticket Fort. The lesson will also discuss what winter food sources are part of a bird’s diet.

The session has a limit of eight children. People who plan outdoor educational classes like this may use flyer printing for marketing the courses to families.

Great Green Adventures is a monthly program that allows children to learn more about nature through hands-on activities, games, and stories. Upcoming sessions include themes like Getting the Garden Ready, Around the Pond, and Signs of Fall. The experiences are intended for kids aged 6 to 12, though younger children are allowed to attend the events. Adults can accompany three children at most. The program also offers virtual activities.

The birdwatching experience will take place on January 15. The available sessions for the program are from 10:30 am to 11:30 am, and from 1:30 pm to 2:30 pm. Members of the Missouri Botanical Garden can partake in the activity free of charge, while non-members must pay $3. Pre-registration is recommended but not mandatory.
