The St. Louis Aquarium Foundation will visit the Central Branch of the St. Louis Public Library in November to teach students about sharks.
Shark Science with the St. Louis Aquarium is a program where students can learn more about sharks and participate in a shark dissection. The aquarium staff at the event will teach attendees about the history of the animals and their biology. The activity is open to high schoolers, middle schoolers, and elementary schoolers. All participants must have a signed waiver from a parent or guardian to attend the St. Louis Aquarium’s event, which is ideal for those ages 12-17.
The St. Louis Aquarium Foundation is an organization that is a nonprofit partner of the St. Louis Aquarium. The group aims to provide better access to aquatic education by offering free admission to the St. Louis Aquarium and providing people with conservation opportunities. The organization has several educational programs, such as Homeschool Days, Learn At Home, and overnight programs. People can volunteer with the aquarium and support the group by adopting animals.
The presentation on sharks will be held on Thursday, November 7 from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm. The event will take place in the Second Floor Training Room of the Central Branch. All guests must register for the St. Louis Aquarium’s activity in advance. Libraries that invite similar foundations to give presentations to the public may use flyer printing services to promote their lectures.
