Residents getting ready for annual Fair Saint Louis

One of the biggest annual celebrations held in St. Louis is the fair that celebrates the Fourth of July. Plans are already underway for the annual blow-out, which is scheduled for July 3rd, 4th, and 5th.

According to a recent news item, two new performers have just been added to the lineup – the Flying Wallendas and the Lake Saint Louis Water Ski Club.

The Flying Wallendas, a legendary high-wire act, will perform 60 feet in the air over the Grand Basin, and the Water Ski Club – which features professional wakeboarders – will perform in the Basin itself.

Live music is a big part of the celebration, and this year's lineup includes Bonnie Raitt, the Band Perry, and Gavin DeGraw. Other acts include En Vogue, country music duo Thompson Square, and the Ozark Mountain Daredevils.

Each night, the festivities will wind up with a fireworks display, customized to fit the Forest Park venue. There will also be a number of family-friendly activities available for enjoyment all day long.

Other highlights include the Veiled Prophet Parade on July 4th, starting at 10 am, and a family fun run on July 5th. The fair opens on July 3rd at 5 pm.

Fair organizers might want to work with a banner printing company to create sturdy, weather-resistant flags to hang throughout the venue. They will move in the breeze, helping to create a dynamic, exciting scene.
