Garden to host themed party and tasting event

St. Louis locals can attend a seasonal adults-only event at the Missouri Botanical Garden in October.

The date has been confirmed for Spirits in the Garden, a program where people can try drink samples from various distilleries, wineries, and breweries. There will be many Halloween-themed activities at the festival, such as watching classic horror movies, participating in a costume contest, and meeting with local paranormal investigators. DJ Nune will provide musical entertainment, and Game Nite will bring games to the event. Guests can also learn about the history of the garden.

The Missouri Botanical Garden is a historical landmark and center for botanical research. Founded in 1859, the garden also owns other properties like the Shaw Nature Reserve and the Sophia M. Sachs Butterfly House. People can support the landmark by volunteering or donating money. The organization also offers memberships for $50 per person, offering benefits like free tram tours, discounted admission to festivals, and invites to private events.

The event will be on October 27 from 6:00 pm to 8:30 pm. Tickets to the tasting activity can be purchased in September. Food is not included in the cost of admission, though it will be available to buy at the fest. Gardens that host activities such as this may use poster printing to promote their parties to consumers in their communities.
