Festival celebrates a historic fair

The St. Louis World’s Fair Heritage Festival is taking place next month for three days.

The festival is a celebration of the 1904 St. Louis World’s Fair, but is also recognizing the community that exists today. There will be several exhibits about the fair, including a display of memorabilia and historic photographs. There are also set to be education displays, reenactments in period costume, and a fine arts exhibition.

There will be three stages of entertainment that will present bands like Hobo Cane, Daughters of Zion, and Middle Class Fashion. Culinary competitions will feature top chefs, a business expo, and an Artists’ Village where artisans will sell their works. Kids’ Island will feature arts and crafts activities, demonstrations, music, and dance performances.

Guests will enjoy a variety of food trucks, offerings from up to 15 local restaurants, and a beer garden with backyard games.

The 1904 World’s Fair was a hugely important event in the area and this festival will likely attract people from all over, including Manchester. To ensure as many people know about it as possible, organizers may have invested in flyer printing services.

The St. Louis World’s Fair Heritage Festival will be held at Forest Park from August 19 to 21. Admission is free of charge. To find out the latest information about this event, call 314-853-6257.
