The St. Louis Post-Dispatch looks for new premises

A newspaper in Missouri is searching for a new home, having put its current headquarters up for sale.

The newspaper has been occupying a building in North Tucker Boulevard, situated in a downtown district. When the organization relocates, its management could use business card printing in St. Louis to help its networking efforts. Ray Farris, the president of the newspaper, has stated:

“We are a 21st-century media company operating in a mid-20th-century building. As we expand our digital platform, we need a modern facility that is suitable for us now and in the future.”

The business has chosen Hilliker Corp. to sell the building in question. The asking price has been established at $4.25 million with a brief leaseback arrangement attached.

The property will be marketed on the basis that it could be utilized in different ways. The marketing firm has stated that it could serve as office space. However, it has added that residential options are also possible.

Printing and distribution have not taken place at the site since back in 2008. These activities have been taken care of at an address within Maryland Heights.

The proposed sale of the headquarters of the newspaper is part of a wider trend. Large buildings are apparently thought less necessary for metropolitan publications than they once were. This viewpoint has been highlighted by the disposal of the headquarters of the Philadelphia Inquirer and the Minneapolis Star Tribune.
