St. Louis planetarium to host group yoga

The James S. McDonnell Planetarium in St. Louis will organize a yoga activity in December that is beginner-friendly.

Yoga Under the Stars is a program offered by the St. Louis Science Center where people can learn about the night sky and enjoy a unique yoga experience. The event will start with a guided star show and will then switch to a gentle guided yoga session. The instructor for the program is Kat McDonald, a yoga guide who has taken courses like Trauma Center Trauma Sensitive Yoga and Mindful Resilience for Trauma Recovery. The event is supposed to be for an adult audience.

The St. Louis Science Center is an organization that started in 1856 and was initially known as the Academy of Science of St. Louis. The group’s mission is to help more people become passionate about science and create an inclusive space where everyone can engage with science. There are many exhibits at the attraction, such as Artifacts of Wonder, Inside the Vault, and Experience Energy. The center also hosts events like the Science Spooktacular and SciFest.

The group yoga session at the planetarium will be held on Monday, December 1st at 7:00 pm. Tickets to the yoga class and star show will cost $25 per person. Some yoga mats will be available at the venue, though it is recommended that guests bring their own mats. Science centers that host similar programs to this may use printing services to market their events.
