East-West Gateway Council of Governments will hold its 61st Annual Meeting in St. Louis this November.
The event will bring together government officials, agency partners and civic leaders for discussions on regional initiatives and recognition of public-sector achievements. Organizers expect over 400 local, state, county, and federal representatives and partner organizations to attend.
The program begins with a free public leadership panel from 10 to 11:30 am Speakers will discuss projects involving regional economic development, tourism, downtown revitalization, job growth, transportation and coordination among civic organizations. Scheduled panelists include representatives from the Regional Business Council, Explore St. Louis, Greater St. Louis Inc., Gateway Arch Foundation, James S. McDonnell Foundation and East-West Gateway Council of Governments.
A luncheon begins at noon and will involve a short membership meeting followed by the Outstanding Local Government Achievement Awards. The awards recognize individuals and organizations involved in regional public service and collaborative projects.
Registration for the morning panel is free but required. Luncheon admission is $85 for one person or $660 for a table of eight. Paid luncheon guests may receive validated parking at Stadium East Parking Garage.
