Multiple industry professionals are expected to gather in St. Louis this summer for the 2026 Saint Louis Urban Area Operational Readiness Summit.
The two-day program is designed to strengthen cooperation among organizations responsible for emergency preparedness, disaster response, and regional security while encouraging collaboration before major incidents occur.
Presentations on the opening day will feature subject matter experts discussing emergency exercise development, cybersecurity, severe weather operations, and other topics affecting regional resilience. Attendees will also review accomplishments from recent Urban Area Security Initiative projects, and examine lessons learned from previous initiatives aimed at improving regional coordination.
The second day will focus on a tabletop exercise that allows participants to apply concepts discussed during the educational sessions. The interactive exercise is intended to strengthen communication, improve decision-making, and reinforce partnerships among agencies.
Registration for the summit is $35, which includes refreshments and lunch on August 3. Participants may also register at no additional cost for the optional Half-day Tabletop Exercise scheduled for August 4.
